Wastegates - These thirty-four magazine articles with photos are a compilation of editorials made as the 10-year president of the Turbo Motorcycle International Owners Association (TMIOA). These editorials appeared in the association's quarterly newsletter "Turbo News" from Spring 1994 (#18) to the final edition in Fall 2003 (#51). Included are "The Showerhead Principle" - an unscientific examination of the inverse relationship between the height of motel showerheads and the motel's distance from the nearest metropolis, "Twelve Out of Thirteen" - an observation on the results of unleashing turbocharged motorcycles onto an unsuspecting public, "A Look Back" - the history of Turbo News, and "Going Global" - the beginning of the TMIOA website <www.turbomotorcycles.org> that resulted in the end of Turbo News. These personal observations cover the gamut from the state of motorcycling in general, to the minutae of the always entertaining antics at the association's annual "Turbo Rallies", to the joys of Turbo ownership. Read them for yourself and gain insight into what membership in the TMIOA was all about.
